Pastoral Musician

The Pastoral Musician in our parish is Ros Kay. Her role is to coordinate the music used in our worship services, and to lead the 8.30 service music each week. This involves coordinating many musicians including soloists and instrumentalists and special performances. Under her leadership the  All Saints Community Choir, Cardinale and other groups have been developed. Ros arranges choral music as required and also organizes rehearsals and arranges for the music in cooperative ventures.

Other Organists

Other organists include Gwen Mackinnon, Joy Mann, Joy Lowney and Barbara Mills

Instumentalists

Various musicians and groups of musicians also contribute to the worshipping life of the parish.

Music Committee

The music committee selects Hymns for the services that relate to the theme for the period of the Church year. A balance of new and traditional well known hymns are chosen to accommodate most peoples’ preferences. The music committee also discusses musical opportunities for religious festivals and special occasions throughout the Church year.

Music Resources

Over the years the choir has built up a library of music, which is being catalogued by our librarian Gary Handran. It is a large and on going task. Occasionally, we have sessions to assist in the organization of our music. We have purchased our own pews and filing cabinet. Ros has access to computer programs, the internet and personnel who can assist with some arrangements. We have sung some music composed and/or arranged by our own members. The Allen Q325 organ produces music wonderful music and has a midi interface also. A music centre is established in the Church.
