Parish Council This body meets in the Parish Centre at 7.30pm on the third Wednesday of each month except for January. Our Council is usually about 12-15 people who are elected and appointed from the regularly attending members of the Parish, as well as the parish Clergy. Rev Julie, the Parish Priest chairs this council. Its task is to oversee such matters as how we go about meeting Parish goals, income and expenditure and maintaining and repairing the Church and other buildings. All groups in the Parish report to Parish Council. Wardens One Warden is appointed by the Priest with the other one or two being elected by the Parishioners. The Wardens have official and legal responsibilities to the Parish and the Diocese for the running of the Parish. These duties are undertaken co-operatively with the Parish Priest. Treasurer At All Saints Chermside, the Treasurer working with the Wardens and Priest, set the Budget for each subsequent year during September and October. The Treasurer has financial responsibility for Management and Reporting. Executive Team (ET) The Executive Team comprises the Treasurer and the Wardens. It meets monthly to review the work of Parish Council, and to execute decisions appropriately. Annual General Meeting (AGM) This meeting, held in February receives the reports from all Parish Organisationsand includes audited accounts. Annual Reports Each person in a leadership position prepares a report in January of their preceding years activities. These reports are published in the Annual Reports booklet before the AGM. |
